Four Features Of A Good Golf Bag
Thinking of hitting the green today to survive a grueling 9 to 18 holes? Then what you need to do is prepare your golf bag. However, if you don't have a golf bag just yet or you are planning to buy a new one, make sure that it has all the features that you need to get through the golf course. Sure, you might not be the one carrying your bag, but your caddy can't have a hard time looking for all the tools that you need. And the last thing you need is another excuse to not enjoy your favorite sport. Here are a few things to look for in a good golf bag.
• Club separation – Now, if you look at a golf bag, you will notice that it has some kind of grid at its main opening on top of the bag. This grid has to be there. It's necessary because it is what separates all the different types of clubs that you will use throughout the course as you play golf. One section is for all your wood clubs. Another section is used specifically for your irons. Then you have a third section for any special clubs that you will use, which includes your putter or set of putters if you have more than one. You can also use the extra grid to pack an umbrella for the long hot days. It doesn't matter which sections you use for whatever set of clubs. It is important that you organize your clubs the way you want to and this grid makes club separation all the easier.
• Ball pocket – Ever had the worst of luck by losing your ball in water or in the woods just off the fairway? What you need is to bring as many golf balls to the course as you possibly can. Of course, you can't fill the main bag with all the balls, so what you need is a bag with a specific pocket made to hold all your golf balls. The pocket should also be placed in front of the bag and not near the sling so that the caddy can easily pick one out should you need a ball to complete your hole.
• Tee hooks – If you look closely, there are some bags with tee hooks and there are some that only have pockets. Now, the difference should be obvious. If you dump all your tees into a pocket, it may seem easier just to pick one out when you are about to tee off. However, it is actually a lot easier to have your tees organized in tee hooks inside a pocket. This way, when you are done with whatever tee you use, you can place it neatly back into the hook where it belongs.
• Extra pocket – Now, whenever you play golf you might need to change your shirt or use a face towel. This is what an extra pocket is great for. These extra pockets are actually quite large and run down the front of the main golf bag. You can pack anything into this section of the bag so it should be filled with essentials that will give you comfort on the course.
